i was in the adolescent part of the hospital for one week, the staff was great, the other patients were friendly, i never really felt alone.
My name is Faith, and I’m going to give a helpful, honest review that isn’t coming from someone who is angry about being admitted. I was placed in and out of this place five times for about two consecutive years. That started when I was eleven. I was required by law to stay here as I had attempted to commit suicide and almost died for at least three out of those five times. These places are basically therapy with regular everyday activities (bathroom, recreation, meal times, sleep, visitation), but they’re more advanced and determined to keep you alive and well. Most patients are not happy to be there and that is why there are so many bad reviews. Those reviews provide no evidence or logical reasoning to why the place is “bad” and instead merely base the review on opinion. When I was here, I wasn’t happy about it either. I was away from my family. The place is amazing, though. Yes, it is expensive (try insurance), and no; therapy doesn’t always work. That’s why you have to make sure that you aren’t wasting your time and money on something that won’t work. Make sure that you or your child is ok with being away from home. You must prepare for the experience. There are so many kind and loving people at the Seay Center, you just have to be open to help. I promise that it isn’t as bad as those other reviews make it sound. It’s not even close to how it is in the movies.
This was my first time at a behavioral facility and I made the right choice. Everyone here is great...from the assistants, and the nurses to the counselors and the doctors. They helped me a great deal, and if needed, this is where I will seek help again.
I gave birth here in April on a Saturday. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a hospital to deliver! You can definitely tell that the nurses who work here love their job. We had a lot of nurses tend to me and my baby throughout our stay and all of them were wonderful.
My daughter just had a baby and US Anesthesia gave a bill 0f 8000 dollars now discounted to 3000 if I pay cash.i offered to pay 1500 but was turned down. What is so surprising was that this was a normal delivery that lasted only 12 hours. we got prior information as to all other charges. why not this one? Should one not have an idea as to what epidoria will cost before administering it to the patient. Am really disappointed that this christian hospital will put us through this experience. How can I settle such a huge bill for a normal delivery after paying over 15000 dollars for other services. Am in a financial nightmare. because of this.
It took 5 hours to actually get in. To be honest, it wasn't that bad. One of the staff guys yelled at us even though that could send patients into a panic attack. Night shift was the best. Brett was a really understanding guy and helped me, and this lady I can't remember her name, liked My Chemical Romance. Food was great. Hashbrowns were 10/10, like Gordon Ramsey's quality. Ever since I got out of there it was a lot different. You have to put in effort to feel better about yourself there. It really gave me a push to get my life back on track. With Love, Eggroll
4/29/2018 Husband and I came to this hospital after I was complaining of severe cough, loss of voice, and chest pain the service time was prompt they took my chest xray and of course kept me clam since I was nervous. The doctor who also took care of me and could easy tell what I had. I was diagnosed with bronchitis and they told me how to manage and treat it thank you very much Texas Health Plano for helping me :)
Dr. Is always on time with scheduled appointments. No unnecessary long waiting time. Staff is always friendly and professional. Clean office areas. The coffee down stairs is fresh. Dr. Communicates issues and concerns timely. Dr. also provides educational information.
ER staff was extremely nice and caring. Absolutely no wait time (Wednesday at 5pm). Ultrasound technician (Paul?) was funny, informative, and experienced. Dr. Chao was very attentive as pleasant . Great experience!
The nurses on the 5th floor are amazing. this group always had close attention to my Mother while she was there. I give them 5 stars plus.
Labor and delivery floor was great! The nurse was nice, friendly and knowledgeable. When baby is born, they do everything in the room so you can be there to see the baby! There’s a couch and chair for those who are with you or visiting. Once you’re all set, they move you to another floor which is a little smaller but has a pull out chair for a guest to sleep on. My husband and I were given a steak and lobster complimentary meal the night we had our baby.. it was a nice gesture but it’s still hospital food! You can order food whenever you’re hungry and they’ll bring it to you. The nurses were all so nice and accommodating. They do come in every hour for something so when they say “get some rest” they really don’t mean it lol. I stayed one night and left despite them saying I should stay for two. There was just no way I could handle another night being checked on every hour! I know it’s necessary but we were fine and ready to go :) All in all, great labor and delivery at this hospital! I would go back again if I have another baby.
Waited only about an hour to be seen in the triage room. Attending nurse and doctor have been friendly and helpful. The receiving ladies at the Emergency desk were preoccupied with each other and one's phone and seemed genuinely uninterested in our existence. "After all, this is the Emergency Room", one said. We didn't want to be there, nor did they. I and other "guests" were unable to watch the football game because only the off duty manager is empowered to top secret ability to change the TV channels. It's been about 2 hours now. We're still in triage awaiting a CT Scan. Hopefully the rest of our stay will be better than the start.
Al W., the emergency room volunteer, was a joy to have around. We had our 4 yr old neice that was not feeling so well about the environment, and he was so sweet to her. Even got her a teddy bear. All the nurses in the ER were great, respectful, and courteous. Love them all!
This hospital gives exceptional care! They took exceptional care of my Mother when she was here and had surgery!! Then when I was hospitalized, they made sure that I got the best care ever!! Nurses, doctors, the aides, lab people, X-ray dept, emergency room, respiratory therapy, every single employee here gave 100 percent care and beyond!!! Exceptional hospital and staff!!!!!
Absolutely amazing. Went to the Plano ER after a visit to another ER (which had poor bedside manner) in EXTREME pain as a result of being on chemotherapy. The doctors and staff were professional, took care of my concerns and ran tests to ensure I was OK. The staff at Plano exceeded our expectations, was so accommodating to my family and we would like to say THANK YOU! Keep up the great work!
Wonderful staff, Labor and Delivery and postpartum was great love the doctors and nurses. Delivery room made comfortable and they can tolerate a loud in labor woman that's for sure lol Postpartum was okay to great menu options room is a touch tight but to able. Nurses are very caring and take care of you very well. A big thanks to Jullie and Randi we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend both of you to be their nurse.
Amazing hospital in every respect. Most of my doctors are there & I was once there for an emergency situation in 2015 and all treatment exceeded my expectations. I won't go to any other hospital. I consider this to be the best hospital in the world. All staff was top rate and attended to any and all my needs and the emergency staff in 2015 saved my life. I even might add they have a complimentary 4 star menu to choose from. Just there in 2017 for a situation and again top rate professional Doctors and staff. 🌺
Had my baby last Friday and couldn't be more happier! The nurses were awesome and the food was delicious! Nurse Kortney from labor and delivery is such a sweetheart and was a blessing. Also nurse Sylvia from postpartum was awesome, baby didn't take a type of formula too well and she switched it. After that baby didn't spit up anymore. They listen and are very compassionate.
Wonderful hospital. My wife used to work here i have been a patient here. Lots of friends who had babies here. All around great hospital
I have experienced two visits to the Presby Plano ER in the past nine months. The care, compassion and efficiency are exemplary. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the care they provide. I've worked in healthcare for 15 years, and I know what good patient care looks like. Kudos to all of the ER staff.
Amazing hospital nurses are wonderful. We've had both our children here and both times were amazing experiences.
Our baby boy was delivered here. L & D department staff explained all the procedures great detail till delivery. Postpartum staff took care of us and explained all the things to take care while handling the baby. Even lactation staff also was very helpful. Overall definitely recommend this hospital. Respect, care, experience and smile all they offer.
My wife both knee replacement surgeries here, in April and May 2017. Everyone who cared for her was very good. Professional, upbeat, organized and effective. She was very appreciative. We highly recommend this hospital.
Came in support of my mom's surgery and the service here was excellent. I had my little with me and they went above and beyond to ensure we were okay. I visited there nursing room to feed my daughter and it's absolutely adorable and comfortable. I wasn't even the patient and I had a great experience.
One of the best healthcare facilities I've been to, very friendly competent Doctors and staff make you feel welcome not like part of the herd. Found and Helped me with my cancer and heart issues...I'm sticking with these folks!
Dec 2016 wife was admitted for colon cancer and removal of partial colon . The staff of nurses, pct and charge nurses have the greatest empathy I have ever seen. They were caring and made sure we had everything we needed and if they did not have it they found it. I am truly grateful and as a fellow nurse myself I am so proud to be one of them.
My primary care physician is located here. Have also been hospitalized at this location. Ample lot parking and garage parking. Helpful and friendly staff.
It's a great place to labor the baby! I really appreciate the doctors, nurses, and staffs here. They are so amazingly kindness. Thanks yall for taking care of my wife and baby girl! ;)
Rock n' roll
My Dad was treated at this hospital for approximately 17 years. He was seen in the ER many times, had numerous procedures and hospital stays in CCU and ICU and actually took his last breath in the hospital. Every person from Dr. Holland (AMAZING!) in the ER to each and every doctor, nurse and tech that assisted my father and my family did so with incredible knowledge, thoughtfulness and highest standard of care. My Dad was such a "frequent flyer" that when nurses on other floors saw he was in the hospital, they would come to see him and say hello. That is amazing thoughtfulness and caring! A thank you is not enough, but thank you to each and every person who had a hand in my father's care up to the day we lost him. Your knowledge, thoughtfulness and care will never be forgotten.
I'm new to using any GPS apps and I love that its so user friendly.
Fully billed for a biopsy procedure that did not produce enough material for pathologist or physician to conduct evaluation. A technician was even present during the procedure to ensure enough was collected. Complained to so-called "Patient Advocate" and my case was reviewed twice, each resulting in no change to the bill. Do not use this facility or any associated Presbyterian facility. They are crooks and will bill you for services never rendered. Update: As a "courtesy", the hospital finally agreed to offset my bill. I will give them credit for finally resolving the problem, however, it took far more effort and time than should have been necessary. Therefore, I'm changing my rating from one to three stars.
My wife spent almost six weeks on bed rest and we ended up having our son six weeks early. The L&D, high risk, and NICU departments were phenomenal. They cared for my family and helped make us feel as much as home as possible. They became like our second family. Thank you to everyone who helped us!!
